RtWebParts 2.0 System Requirements

Hardware Requirements
  • 2.0 GHz Pentium 4 processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 30 GB hard drive
Server Requirements
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server (32-bit version) with SP1 or greater.
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 6.0 with Windows Script Host (WSH) enabled.
  • Microsoft .NET framework 3.0 and ASP.NET 2.0 enabled
  • A virtual server created in IIS and extended with Microsoft SharePoint: Either Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2007
  • SQL Server 2000, with Service Pack 3a or greater, or MSDE (included with SharePoint)
  • Access to a PI 3.3x (or better) Server with sufficient trust set up between the web server and PI server
Client Requirements

The only absolute requirement is Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 6.0 or later with the latest Service Packs. However, some web parts require the following software:
  • PI ActiveView: To view PDI files in RtActiveView, the client needs PI ActiveView 2.2 or higher.
  • Adobe SVG Viewer: The RtGraphic, RtGauge and RtTrend web parts are rendered in the scalable vector graphics (SVG) format. To use these web parts, the client needs the Adobe SVG Viewer, version 3.0, which you can download from the Adobe Web site. Note: You must be an Administrator on the client machine to successfully install the SVG Viewer or PI ActiveView.
  • ProcessBook: The Launch Analysis Tool command, included with RtGraphic
    and RtActiveView, requires PI ProcessBook 3.0 or higher.
  • Office 2003 and either Windows Messenger, Live Messenger, Microsoft Communicator, or MSN Messenger: The RtMessenger web part requires the presence functionality built into Office 2003 and a Microsoft IM application. If Microsoft Outlook XP or higher is installed, users can import IM contacts directly from the Outlook address book.
  • Microsoft Excel: The Export to Excel command, included with RtTrend, RtTable, RtTimeSeries and RtValues, requires Excel XP or higher installed on the client.
