MemberShortName Property (ITimeInterval object)

Read Only property. Given a numeric index, return the short name (abbreviation) of the corresponding Interval member. Returns E_NOTIMPL if the interval has no meaningful names.

For example, TimeIntervals("month").MemberShortName(2) returns "Feb", but TimeIntervals("day").MemberShortName(2) returns E_NOTIMPL.

The MemberShortName method syntax has these parts:

An object expression that evaluates to an ITimeInterval object.

Index

A number ranging from the value of the MemberLo property to the value of the MemberHi property, inclusive. Type: Long

LocaleIndependent

An optional Boolean value, indicating the language locale in which to return the result, as described in Settings. False by default.

True The member name is returned in the US English locale, regardless of the operating system locale. This may be useful for writing portable programs.
False The member name is returned in the operating system locale.
