RestoreObject Method (IPIRestorer interface)

              

 

This method restores an object from the persistence string (persistenceData) passed.

 

Syntax

object.RestoreObject persistenceData, pnvsContext

The RestoreObject method syntax has these parts:

object

An object expression that evaluates to a PIGlobalRestorer object.

persistenceData

The persistence string. This string is obtained from the original object using the IPIPersist interface.

pnvsContext

A NamedValues collection containing context variables.

  

Context Variables

Context variables can affect how the object is restored. More information can be found on the Context help page for PIGlobalRestorer  (See Also).

 

Remarks

Returns the object persisted. This method is implemented by Restorer objects that implement the IPIRestorer interface.

 

Trappable Errors

In addition to generic errors (such as Out of Memory), the following errors may occur:

pseRESTOREOBJECT

This code will be returned if there is a problem with the persistence string itself (corruption).

pseSERVERDBLOADFAIL

This code will be returned if there was a problem finding  the object on the server.
