Values Method (IPIVersion interface)

Gets the values of an object between two dates.

Syntax

object.Values varSearchStartTime, varSearchEndTime, btCode

The Values method syntax has these parts:

Part

Description

object

An object expression that evaluates to a IPIVersion object.

varSearchStartTime

A VARIANT representing the start of time range. The VARIANT may be a PITime, DATE, String, or numeric. Interpretation of DATE, strings and numerics is consistent with PITime's interpretation.

varSearchEndTime

A VARIANT representing the end of time range. The VARIANT may be a PITime, DATE, String, or numeric. Interpretation of DATE, strings and numerics is consistent with PITime's interpretation.

btCode

BoundaryTypeConstants enumeration of supported boundary behavior.

Remarks

Returns a collection of values based on the time range and the boundary type. Boundary types are explained in the following table:

BoundaryTypeConstants

Description

btInside

All the values newer or equal to start time and older or equal to the end time.

btOutside

The first value older than or equal to the start time through the first value newer than or equal to the end time.

btInterp

The value on, or first value older, than start time through a value on the end time, or first value newer than the end time.

btAuto

Same as btInterp.

The IPIVersion interface may be supported by any PI-SDK object. The results are returned as an IUnknown object to support this abstraction. Currently, only PIModule supports this interface. The result in this case is a PIModuleVersionList collection.
