Sorting Property (IPointList2 interface)

The Sorting property of the IPointList2 interface is a SortOrderConstants enumeration that is used to view or modify the sort order of a PointList.

Syntax

object.Sorting

The object placeholder is an object expression that evaluates to a IPointList2 interface.

The possible values for the Sorting are:

Enumeration constant

Description

soAscending

Ascending by pathname

soDescending

Descending by pathname

soUnordered Unsorted (normally the insertion order)

Remarks

The sort order determines how the user sees the list and does not have any affect on the internal storage. The traditional differences, mostly performance related,  between sorted and unsorted lists don't apply to PointLists (there's an unsorted list with alpha index at all times).
