RemoveDefaultUser Method (Server object)

Removes a user-specific, default user override for the Server if one exists.

The RemoveDefaultUser method syntax has these parts:

An object expression that evaluates to a Server object.

Each server has a default user recorded in the Known Servers Table that is configured when the server is originally added. A program can subsequently obtain a Server object and modify the DefaultUser property. This has the effect of entering an additional default user for that server that is specific to the current user logged in at the workstation that acts as an override for the Server configured DefaultUser. This user specific default user remains in effect until changed by setting the DefaultUser property or removed with the RemoveDefaultUser method.

To modify the general default user property for a server the Server must be removed and added back using Servers.Add and Servers.Remove.

When this method is called, the OnEdit event is fired.

Trappable Errors

In addition to generic errors (such as Out of Memory), the following errors may occur:

The SDK was unable to make the change, possibly because of security issues with the Known Servers Table.

After removing the user specific entry the SDK could not find the original default user entry in the Known Servers Table.
